Emily Marino, Head Coach

Emily Marino begins her fourth season as the head softball coach at Joliet Junior College.

Last season, Coach Marino led her team to a 22-24 overall record, while finishing with an 11-4 N4C conference record. Marino has appeared in the Region IV Championship game two of her last three seasons. Over the past three seasons, she has accumulated a 71-72 overall record while coaching sixteen N4C all-conference players, thirteen all-region players, and three NJCAA Division III All-Americans.

Marino is a graduate of Joliet Catholic Academy in Joliet, IL (1997). At JCA, she was a standout volleyball, basketball, and softball player earning 10 varsity letters. In March 2008, Emily was inducted into the East Suburban Catholic Conference Hall of Fame for her accomplishments throughout her high school career.

Marino went on to play softball at the University of Florida where she was a four-year starting catcher/first baseman. She holds numerous records including career leader in RBIs (150), walks (138), and on-base percentage (.409). She is second in games started (267) along with third in home runs (28), and games played (269). She is fourth in hits (217) and ranks sixth on Florida's all-time list for batting average (.296).

Emily is a 2001 graduate of the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in recreational science. After graduation, Marino spent the summer of 2001 in Italy playing professional softball. She then moved to Nashville, TN where she was employed at Worth Club K as a softball instructor.
