Winter Catching Camp

The Joliet Junior College softball coaching staff is conducting a catching camp throughout the winter season. It consists of  nine Saturday afternoons and is for girls ages 10-18. Catching lessons will last for one hour with four girls in a group. Groups will be put together by age. Catching lessons will progress each week.

Joliet Junior College Head Softball Coach Emily Marino will be conducting the hitting camp. Coach Marino is in her seventh year of coaching the Lady Wolves and brings a wealth of playing experience to the program. Emily received a scholarship to the University of Florida where she was a four year starter for the Gators at catcher/first base. She holds records for walks (138) and is tied for first in intentional walks (9). She is second in RBI's (150) and games started (267) along with fourth in games played (269). She ranks fifth for fielding percentage (.988), putouts (1169), and doubles (41). She is sixth in hits (217) and on-base percentage (.409) while coming in seventh in home runs (28). She sits in the thirteenth spot on Florida's all-time list for batting average (.296).

Location: Camp will be held at the Dirt Devils facility. (Rte 6 and McCintock Rd)
