Winter Hitting Camp

The Joliet Junior College softball coaching staff is conducting a hitting camp throughout the winter season. It consists of nine  Saturday mornings and is for girls ages 10-18. Hitting lessons will last for one hour with four/five girls in a group. Groups will be put together by age. Hitting lessons will progress each week.

Joliet Junior College Head Softball Coach Emily Marino will be conducting the hitting camp. Coach Marino is in her fifth year of coaching the Lady Wolves and brings a wealth of playing experience to the program. Emily received a scholarship to the University of Florida where she was a four year starter for the Gators at catcher/first base. She holds records for RBIs (150) and walks (138). She is second in games started (267), third in games played (269), fourth in home runs (28) and on-base percentage (.409), and sixth in hits (217). Her .296 batting average is ninth on Florida’s all-time list. After her time at Florida, Emily then went on to play professional softball in Italy.

Location: Camp will be held at the Dirt Devils hitting facility. (Rte 6 and McCintock Rd)
